What Changes Can I Expect In My Body?

Lochia:
-
Is like a heavy period for the first twelve hours after delivery and then it gets lighter.

Is usually bright red in colour for the first few days, then changes to a pinky, brown colour
-
Can continue for four weeks after delivery

May be followed by a cream or white discharge that can continue for up to eight weeks after delivery

Pain on Passing Urine:
-
Can sting - especially if you had stitches or there was brusing. Pouring warm water over the area when passing urine can reduce discomfort.

Breasts enlargement:
-
Caused an increase in blood supply to the breasts to permit milk production

Can be uncomfortable at first
