History of the Polyclinic

Sir Branford Taitt

On November 27th 1978 the Black Rock Polyclinic opened on the grounds of the Psychiatric Hospital. It was later relocated to its current site and officially opened on March 2nd 1994.

On November 12th 2011 it was renamed the Branford Taitt Polyclinic after the longest serving Minister of Health in Barbados.

The Environmental Health department has the responsibility of the protection of the island’s health through a variety of preventative measures and strategies including: 

 

The Randal Phillips Polyclinic is part of the system of publicly funded primary health care facilities in Barbados. The catchment area consists of both rural and urban districts in Christ Church, a portion of St Philip and a portion of St Michael.

OPENING HOURS: 8.30 A.M. TO 4.30 P.M.;  URGENT CARE SERVICE: 4.30 P.M. TO 6.30 P.M.
