Sir Randal Phillips

John Randal Phillips was a well known doctor and parliamentarian who lived and served in the area for many years.

 

He was knighted by the Queen in 1927 for his contributions as a senior member of the legislature.

 

It was only fitting that following expansion the clinic was renamed in honor of this prominent resident in 1984.

The Environmental Health department has the responsibility of the protection of the island’s health through a variety of preventative measures and strategies including: 

 

The Randal Phillips Polyclinic is part of the system of publicly funded primary health care facilities in Barbados. The catchment area consists of both rural and urban districts in Christ Church, a portion of St Philip and a portion of St Michael.
