What Will Happen at Your First Appointment?

• At your first appointment the Podiatrist will ask you about your general health and any medication you are taking. The Podiatrist needs to know this before they make decisions or recommendations about your foot treatments.

• The sensation in your feet and your circulation will also be checked in the screening process.

​​

• In addition, an assessment of your footwear will be carried out.

​​

• After discussing your condition with you, the Podiatrist will decide on a treatment plan which may include:

  • Further tests and referral to other specialists in the medical team or

  • Discharge with self-help advice.

• Advice on foot care is given at every visit.
