What is a Hairdresser and what are the requirements for operation?
Health Services Hairdressers Regulations, 1970

Hairdresser includes a barber , ladies hairdresser , beautician, manicurist, pedicurist or any other person whose service is available to the public in a hairdressing salon.
Requirements to Operate:
a) Application for Hairdresser licence
b) Two passport size pictures
c) Medical certificates for all staff
Hairdressing salon means premises used for the purpose of carrying on the business of a hairdresser.
A licence is valid until the 31st day of December next after the date of issue.
