Postnatal
Antenatal (Pregnancy)
Services are provided on Tuesdays.
The goal of antenatal care is to prepare for birth and parenthood as well as to manage health challenges during pregnancy.

Antenatal care also provides women and their families with appropriate information and advice for a healthy pregnancy, safe childbirth, and postnatal recovery. This includes:

Care of the newborn

Promotion of early, exclusive breastfeeding

Assistance with deciding on future pregnancies

Services are provided on Thursdays.
​
The postnatal visit for mothers is done at eight (8) weeks after delivery.
​
promoting and supporting early and exclusive breastfeeding, keeping the baby warm, increasing hand washing and providing hygienic umbilical cord and skin care, identifying conditions requiring additional care and counselling on when to take a newborn to a health facility.
